Our Teaching Approach
At Deewan Institute, we specialize in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, offering instruction in both FusHa (Classical Arabic) and Ammiyeh (Levantine Colloquial Arabic). Our teaching philosophy is centered on identifying and understanding each student's unique learning style, allowing us to design personalized study plans that cater to their needs. While we place a strong emphasis on conversational proficiency, we ensure that all other language skills—reading, writing, and listening—are equally developed. Deewan Institute’s teaching vision is rooted in integrating the most effective elements of various teaching methodologies. These include the classical and traditional approaches the GPA (Growing Participator Approach), as well as immersive techniques that teach Arabic through cultural experiences, such as music, cooking, and real-life situations. To support our mission, Deewan has developed its own curriculum and textbooks, complemented by a range of supplementary materials. These include a digital learning platform, our Deewan Arabic Podcast and its accompanying transcribed book, and our YouTube channel, which together provide a rich, multifaceted learning experience for students at all levels.
